Vokalyze

FAQ & support

Getting started

How long does my first rep take?+

Enable your camera and mic, hit record, deliver your speech, then review your feedback. Most students finish in under 10 minutes.

How do I invite my coach?+

Vokalyze is rolling out roster invites; for now, share your session insights manually and point your coach to the Team plan for full dashboards.

Events & scoring

Can the judge AI decide the winner?+

No. By design. Vokalyze's AI is silent and supportive. It flags technical details (drops, fallacies, clash %) for the judge to weigh, and never produces an RFD on its own.

Which events are supported?+

Vokalyze includes major debate, platform, extemp, and interp events, including additions like World Schools and Big Questions.

Why didn't my round transcribe cleanly?+

If your round didn't transcribe, your connection likely dropped mid-upload. Close the tab, open a fresh rep, and retry. Your local summary still benefits from the metrics we could capture.

Privacy & data

Is my camera feed stored in the cloud?+

Vokalyze processes audio securely for transcription while video stays on your device in this release. We don't keep raw camera footage on our servers.

Do you sell student data?+

Vokalyze does not sell speech content. Use the Privacy Policy for full detail and contact us for school agreements.

Pricing

Do I need my own subscription if my school already pays?+

If your program covers seats, use the invite from your coach. You won't need an individual plan.

How do school licenses work?+

Programs purchase a Team & Schools plan, receive seat tokens, and invite students or staff. Contact us for SSO and roster automation.

Coach features

What can coaches see?+

Coach mode highlights practice volume, averages, and qualitative AI notes so you can intervene before the next tournament. More analytics views are shipping continuously.
